Larry Tarrillion

Larry Tarrillion was born in San Antonio, Texas and graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.A. in art.  In the 35 plus years that have followed, he ha spent the majority of that time a a professional artist and art teacher.

   Drawn by both artistic inspiration and his own personal family roots, Larry “escaped” the big city life and skyline of San Antonio and relocated to the Texas Hill Country in the early 80’s.

   While the beauty of the Hill Country is frequently the subject of his paintings, Larry’s subject matter has broadened in scope over recent years.  Having raised their family, Larry and his wife Yvonne sold their home a few years ago, trading a fixed base for the mobility of a luxury RV.  When not at their home base in Comfort, Texas, Larry is free to draw inspiration from one coast to the other and all points in between.

   Over the years, Larry’s work has been shown by highly regarded galleries and collected by individuals throughout the country.  He has also competed in many juried competitions.
