“In the
fifth grade when my teacher put some irises in a glass and had us draw and
color what we saw, I was “hooked” on art!
But, the opportunity to study art seriously didn’t actually
become possible until 1979. Along
the way I have been privileged to study with some of the finest master
teachers and consider the pursuit of art to be a “life’s journey.”

Artist’s
Statement
I have
always loved nature, and learned to “see” color early in life. I get
excited about many subjects, and do not limit myself to painting and one
subject. Many of my works come from painting “plein air”, and some are
from my photos taken on my travels through many states, and abroad. I
especially enjoy painting florals, and landscape paintings which may
include waterscapes, buildings, mountains, etc.
